MINISO USA- Retail Shift Lead (Part-Time)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Greeting and connecting with customers to create a warm environment and provide excellent customer service.
● Assist store manager by overseeing training associates, meeting sales, and driving business.
● Set an example for store staff to meet store goals and exceed customer expectations.
● Assist store manager in operational duties such as preparing schedules for the store each week, purchasing, supply ordering, inventory, etc.
● Responsible for opening and/or closing the store by conducting proper opening and closing procedures for safety and regulation standards.
● Spends most of their time on the sales floors encouraging growth of the environment.
● Acquire product knowledge from company and educate peers and associates on product knowledge.
● Answer customers’ questions about products and give suggestions, as necessary.
● Maintain sales floor presentations, knowledge of current visual guidelines, implementing current promotional events and sales, and restocking products when needed.
● Accurately handle all cash and credit transactions, including purchases, exchanges, and returns, using standard procedures.
● Count cash drawers at the end of the day to ensure correct cash receipts and be able to resolve any discrepancies.
● Resolve and escalate issues with unsatisfied customers.
● Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm to reflect MINISO USA’s commitment to customers.
● Contribute to overall sales goals of the store.
● Stock and organize new products as shipments arrive at the store.
● Adhere to Loss Prevention and inventory control policies and procedures.
● Ability to travel to nearby MINISO locations.
● Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
● Educational/ Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience as a keyholder, supervisor, or shift leader, preferably in retail and previous cash handling experience.
● Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management. Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette.
● Mathematical Skills: Possess strong mathematical skills to be able to count money accurately and precisely.
● Reasoning Ability: Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
● Other Skills: Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
● Work Hours: Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
● Ability to travel to nearby MINISO locations, when necessary.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift to 40 lbs. in items occasionally (up to 10 times per hour).
● Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 6 hours) standing or walking.
● Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 3 hours continuously).
● Ability to place and arrange items on shelves and racks daily.
● Ability to read instructions, reports, and information on computer/register screens and to key information into the computer daily.
● Ability to work in retail stores; move about retail stores floors and rooms; review, revise, create retail paperwork.
