HIGHLIGHTS

E-magine Fun! The family-friendly, hands-on exhibit returns to Pearlridge with some of last year’s favorites and new experiences, as well! The Uptown and Downtown play zones will include both free activities and low-cost experiences – including the Eurobungy hybrid trampoline-bungee, the Rope Maze, Giant Four in a Row and Larger Than Life Checkers – by popular demand. Giant floor mazes, life-sized games and puzzles, and other experiences are all specially curated just for Pearlridge Center, where summer exhibits are a long-standing family tradition.From Saturday, June 4 through Sunday, July 24. Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Uptown and Downtown Center Courts. In observance of Independence Day, Monday, July 4 hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS


Pali Momi Healthy Monday Screenings. Blood pressure and blood-sugar level testing will be offered on Mondays, May 2 and 16 and June 6 and 20 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Uptown, second level in the Pali Momi Wellness Station fronting Sephora.

St. Francis Hospice Bereavement Walk. Anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one will appreciate the camaraderie that can be found with these supportive individuals. Join a community that understands on the first Wednesday of each month as it walks the center. Wednesdays, May 4 and June 1 from 8 to 9 a.m. Uptown, second level fronting American Eagle.

Mokichi Okada Association (MOA) Hawaii Healthy Monday Wellness Activities. Experience purifying and flower therapies, as well as the Japanese Bontemae tea ceremony. Mondays, May 9 and 23, and June 13 and 27 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Uptown, second level fronting American Eagle.

Blood Bank of Hawaii Blood Drive. Donate a pint and save up to three lives – perhaps even of someone you know. Take a few minutes and give the gift of life! Saturday, June 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Downtown, in the parking lot fronting Chili’s Grill & Bar.

LIVE MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT & ARTS

Comic Jam Hawaii. Pearlridge is proud to host “Comic Jam Hawaii,” a regular social event of local artists who create collaborative cartoons, illustrations and sketches while “talking story.” Approximately one dozen artists – professionals and hobbyists – will gather and create cooperative art. Keiki and their families are invited to participate or just watch these comic masters in action! Sundays, May 1 and 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. Downtown Center Court.

Maria Lauer Voice Studio Performance. Saturday, May 14 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Downtown Center Court.

Royal Hawaiian Band Performance.
Saturday, May 14 from noon to 1 p.m. Uptown Center Court.

Mehetia Pearl City Performance. Saturday, May 14 from 2 to 3 p.m. Downtown Center Court.

PACT’s Annual Keiki Day Newspaper Sale. Please support local families with the purchase of a special Keiki Day edition of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Who knows which local celebrities and other dedicated community members will be selling papers at Pearlridge Center on that day? Proceeds fund PACT’s 16 family-service programs statewide, providing kokua to our friends and neighbors. Wednesday, May 4 from 6 a.m. to noon. Pearlridge West fronting Starbucks.

Weekly Pearlridge Farmers’ Market. The Pearlridge Farmers’ Market features over 40 vendors offering locally grown fruits and vegetables, plants and freshly made treats including oven-fresh breads and baked goods. A special 70-seat Farmlovers pop-up café allows customers to sit and enjoy the market each week. Live Hawaiian musical entertainment makes enjoying those local finds that much more relaxing. Saturdays, May 7, 14, 21 and 28, and June 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 8 a.m. to noon. Downtown, in the Sears parking lot.

Creations of Hawaii. This event will showcase local artisans and products that are truly of the islands, created by local artisans who specialize in an array of different art forms. Fridays, May 6 and 20, and Saturdays, May 7 and 21 in Uptown Center Court. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
