Pearlridge Center Continues to Welcome New Local Retailers, Eateries and Entertainment

Aiea, Hawaii, May 10, 2021 – Local entrepreneurs continue to open at Pearlridge Center, which has significantly increased the number of local small businesses that have or will soon open as new eateries, stores or free-standing kiosks. The tenants are committed entrepreneurs trying unique concepts or expanding, while creating much-needed jobs during economic times that are still very challenging.

New in-line stores at Pearlridge Center include:

Expanded Animation Magic (6,000 square feet): Re-location from a smaller Pearlridge store in early April has allowed locally owned Animation Magic to expand beyond its traditional product lines, while remaining firmly committed to finding unique apparel, accessories and collectibles. With the larger space, Animation Magic is sure to have that special something – anime to Hello Kitty, Baby Yoda to Pokemon – for fans of all ages. Mauka, second level, next to Pandora.

Sweet Okole Jewelry (1,425 square feet): Sweet Okole offers unique – and often hand-stamped – anklets, bangles, earrings and more. If Sweet Okole does not already have that special something in gold, shells, Tahitian pearls or jade, its artisans can customize a creation that will make anyone swoon. Mauka, first level, next to Sweet Treats by Kris. Expected opening: mid-May.

New food offerings (for humans and four-legged creatures) and eateries include:

Uncle Lani’s Poi Mochi food truck: Who doesn’t love the freshly made-to-order poi mochi, crunchy on the outside, yet chewy like mochi on the inside? The treat is synonymous with the name Uncle Lani, so get ‘em while they’re hot! Located in the Sears parking lot since March.

Asian Flavors/Bo’s Kitchen/HI Finest Café (4,500 square feet total): Asian Flavors and Bo’s Kitchen opened in mid-April, offering unique tastes in a convenient location in Mauka, first level across from the food court. Asian Flavors is a fusion specialist, while Bo’s Kitchen offers authentic Chinese dim sum. HI Finest Café is a Japanese okazu-ya expected to open in mid-May. Trying them all in one sitting couldn’t be easier…

Holy Cow Hot Dog (700 square feet). Myungrang changed its name to Holy Cow in April, but still offers its famous Korean street foods in their cheesy, crispy, spicy and sweet glory in the same location! Wai Makai, second level next to Royal Hawaiian Heritage Jewelry.

New entertainment includes:

Glow Golf Hawaii (4,500 square feet): Just in time for summer fun, Glow Golf Hawaii will open its glow-in-the-dark putt-putt golf for players of all ages and abilities! Mauka, second level next to Bath & Body Works. Projected opening: late May.

Pop-Ups include:

Island Craft Fairs: Stop by and see what these small, local entrepreneurs have curated for the Pearlridge community. From Tasty Jerky Hawaii to Teddy Bear Mobile, Little Leila’s Manicures to Decowoods by Cindy, there is something for the entire family to eat, wear or enjoy. Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16 in the Mauka Center Court and throughout Pearlridge Mauka. Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27 in the Wai Makai Center Court and throughout Pearlridge Wai Makai.

Collector Megalopolis: Calling collectors of anime, comics, sports memorabilia and more! If someone in our Pearlridge community collects it, Collector Megalopolis definitely has it. Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30. Mauka and Wai Makai Center Courts, as well as throughout Pearlridge Mauka and Wai Makai.

Future eateries will include:

Nau Dog kiosk: Nau Dog offers homemade organic and natural pet food and other treats for dogs and cats, as well as the cutest apparel and accessories. Mauka, first level, fronting Jamba Juice. Projected opening: May 1.

Tanaka Ramen and Izakaya (1,900 square feet): Tanaka Ramen will not only offer its signature ramen, rice bowls and izakaya dishes, but will unveil an array of dishes only available at Pearlridge Center. Wai Makai, second level, between Tony Moly and Icing.
