27th Anniversary Deaf Santa Celebration

The islands’ only Deaf and signing Santa returns to Pearlridge Center to celebrate the 27th anniversary of this landmark program, the State’s signature holiday celebration for the entire Deaf community. When approximately 150 keiki share their wish lists in American Sign Language with Deaf Santa and his Interpreting Elves, the whole Deaf community rejoices that these special tykes and their families are able to experience something that the hearing community takes for granted as a childhood rite of passage.

This extraordinary holiday treat will take place on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon in the former Toys 'R' Us building next to the new stand-alone Down To Earth store on Moanalua Road. “Yes, Virginia, there is a Deaf Santa Claus – and he only visits keiki at Pearlridge Center!”
