Top-ranked bodyboarding pros will mingle with fans at the 19th annual T&C Surf “Go Big!” at Pearlridge Uptown Center Court on Saturday, February 25th. The event serves as the official kick-off for the Mike Stewart Pipeline Invitational, the first event on the 2017 APB Men’s World Tour featuring the world’s top bodyboarders to compete at one of the most prestigious waves in the world.
T&C’s Go Big lets fans interact with many of the APB top athletes and a mix of International invitees & Hawaiian Tour elites. Confirmed to attend are former 3x bodyboard world champion Jeff Hubbard, 9x world champion Mike Stewart, 6x world champion Guilherme Tamega, 8x drop knee world champion Dave Hubbard and other top contenders. “T&C’s Go Big event is a unique opportunity for me and other industry pros to meet and inspire the local youth within the community. Our goal as always is to share the stoke of bodyboarding with as many people as possible and bring family and friends together for this fun and entertaining event,” says Mike Stewart, founder of Science bodyboards.
At 1pm, we will be giving away bodyboards, fins, leashes, board bags and more! Contestants will be called on stage to compete for prizes in a series of off-the-wall games which are a tradition at the “Go Big!” every year. Returning favorites such as “Stack the Wax” and “Face the Cookie” are on the roster, along with other unique games. The event is free and open to the public. So, if you are in the area, come watch the action, get an autograph, score some free stuff and listen to some good beats.
